Tough times call for working smart...for your organization and for yourself.  This course offers both time tested leadership strategies and innovative ideas for these tough economic and social times in which we live.  This workshop utilizes mini-lectures, discussion, and relevant exercises.  We grow together as a learning community. Participants and the facilitator share best practices.  You will be able to transfer the following from the workshop to the workplace:

Course Objective: Each participant will leverage her or his leadership skills and capacity with donors, staff and the community so that the organizational ship steers straight and steady in the turbulent waters of  these difficult times.

• What is your leadership style and how do you utilize situational   leadership

• Leading with your ear

• Make your leadership resonate in the community

• Leadership and donor relations

• Motivate your staff and motivating across generations

• Handle conflict and minimize disciplinary issues in order to focus on   organizational need

• Retain the best and coach the rest

• Leading an organization in times of stretched and strained resources   (money, staff, supplies, volunteers, etc.)

• Powerful ways to overcome financial and organizational difficulties
