This class is for everyone at nonprofit organizations who wants to get the most out of their computers’ Internet connections.

Details:

It is a “boot camp” for those who wear many hats and have to find what they want online quickly, cheaply and efficiently. The course is held in a computer lab and covers basic through advanced search techniques; the best web resources for nonprofit organizations concerned with fundraising, board issues, advocacy and other topics; free or cheap online tools, including video conferencing, conference calling, downloadable software and much more; requesting and obtaining public information; and training regarding how to utilize Census data to better understand, describe and raise funds for local populations. Use of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter are touched upon but are not the focus.
