New media is sweeping the world and nonprofit sector.  This course will teach critical information and strategies to manage this different form of outreach, including:

  1. What’s the buzz: Discussion of the five most useful social media platforms.
  2. What works: Best marketing strategies around the five top social media platforms. 
  3. Landing leads: Social media site integration tips and suggestions: Design, SEO, Conversion.
  4. Time, money & ethics: Other social media marketing considerations: budget/time requirements, and creating social media policy. 
  5. Putting it all together and taking action: Discussion on how to develop a marketing plan with short-term and long-term social media goals in mind. 

Additionally, local nonprofit leaders will discuss their learning and applications of social media.
