An array of new web-based tools are available to help nonprofits reach donors, volunteers and constituents as well as internal staff and board members. This course will introduce you to “public facing” and “private facing” internet programs that will ensure your organization keeps up with the times. Participants will:
• Learn how to assess where you are now regarding your web/internet capability;
• Get an overview of the range of products and how they match different needs, from advocacy and fundraising to volunteer management and staff communications;
• Understand next steps for moving beyond traditional web sites, including what it takes in time and money;
• Receive a printed guide to the online services talked about.
No technical expertise required - material will be presented in a user-friendly way. All levels of expertise are welcome.
Session Leader:
Totsie Marine and Winn King are the duo behind Totsie.com, an Asheville web design studio established in 1996. They are now masters of the open source content management system called Plone, which utilizes expertise from a community of skilled colleagues around the world. Totsie and Winn are dedicated to providing effective web design services to the nonprofit community in western North Carolina and beyond.
