Create a New Road Map for New Economic Times

Contingency Planning Work Day

Asheville

Tuesday, May 5th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Does your organization need to get a firm handle on where you stand and where you’re headed in this rocky economic environment?

Plan to attend this one-day workshop on contingency planning.  Participants at this day-long session will leave armed with:

  • Results of a Mission Check-Up
  • Program Analysis information
  • Initial Financial Forecast results, and the ability to develop alternative scenarios for short term (six months), near term (one year), and long-term (two years).
  • Identification of key “Triggers” for your organization – items and/or dates that require decisions or action, the “if/then” steps.

Workshop Leaders:
Kim McGuire, director of WNC Nonprofit Pathways; Kathi Ballard, former nonprofit executive director and 20 year veteran of organizations; Wade Rogers, CPA and financial consultant to nonprofit organizations.

Bring a team
to this hands-on workshop to jump-start your planning (representatives of board and staff with finance and program knowledge are encouraged to participate together).

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. At least two people must attend from each organization (preferably a staff and board member)
  2. It will be helpful if you can bring a laptop computer with Excel software
  3. You will be asked to bring basic financial information to work on during the session. (More details will be provided upon registration.)

COST:  $20 per person; includes lunch

Note: Location and directions will be provided when you register.

On-line registration is closed.
